Margaret Belton is that rare artist who fuses her exceptional talent with a genuine warmth that makes audiences feel they’re part of the family. She founded her Patsy Cline Tribute band called ‘The Patsychords’ in 2010 and most recently created a variety cabaret show called 'Lady Margaret & The Countrypolitans' showcasing a variety of her favorite rare and classic crooner torch style jazz, country and blues songs as well as comical sketches and stories. She has accomplished five rounds of her critically acclaimed portrayal of Patsy Cline in  ‘Always… Patsy Cline' twice at the Altarena Playhouse in Alameda CA, twice in New Orleans LA at the Stage Door Canteen, and once at The Woodminster Amphitheater in Oakland CA. Margaret received a Theater Bay Area Award for being an outstanding performer in a musical for her portrayal of Patsy Cline and then in November of 2018 she took home another Theater Bay Area Award for her outstanding performance as a principal actor in 'Honky Tonk Angels'. 

 

A true renaissance woman, Margaret is a visual artist as well as a voice-over, on-camera, stage and film actress. Her lead role in the film 'Hiding in Freedom' received an award  from the World Music & Independent Film Festival for 'Best Lead Actress in a Short Film' as well as the film being accepted into the Cannes Film Festival. In June of 2025 she will be celebrating her 11th annual 'Today, Tomorrow & Forever' A tribute of honor, story and song for the legendary singer Patsy Cline at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley CA.  Margaret has appeared on many stages and screens overseas, nationally and throughout the Bay Area crooning, acting, emceeing, producing  and sometimes you may even find her hitting the stage on roller skates!  Margaret can also be seen and heard on indy films, local and national commercials, voice-overs and radio shows.  You just never know where she'll show up next!  

 

Margaret is represented by Look Talent Agency and has trained with esteemed acting coaches throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles. She has also shared a bill with the Country?Americana icon Emmylou Harris and studied voice and performance under jazz legend Faith Winthrop and celebrated Brazilian singer Suely Mesquita.  Additionally, Margaret received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Indiana University.  

 

The authenticity and fearlessness with which Margaret approaches all of her creative endeavors make her a versatile and vivacious performer.  She looks forward to myriad new roles and experiences to throw herself into with boundless passion for performance.
