Margaret Belton is that rare artist who fuses her exceptional talent with a genuine warmth that makes audiences feel they’re part of the family.  She is the lead singer of her band The Patsychords whom just recently celebrated their 6th Annual Tribute to Patsy Cline at The Bay Area's beloved Freight & Salvage. She will be back on the stage staring as Patsy in 'Alway's Patsy Cline" for the 5th time at the Woodminster Theater in July.  She is also over the moon to be opening for the incomparable Emmylou Harris for the third time this coming September.

In 2016 Margaret starred in a film called 'Hiding In Freedom' which she received an award for 'Best Lead Actress in a Short Film' from the World Music & Independent Film Festival as well as the film just being accepted into the Cannes Film Festival.  She then wrapped her 4th round of the critically acclaimed ‘Always… Patsy Cline’  in New Orleans at the Stage Door Canteen. right after getting back from doing a run of "Honky Tonk Angels' at the Alterana Playhouse in Alameda California.  The summer of 2014 she starred in 'Always... Patsy Cline' at The Altarena Playhouse for which she received a Bay Area Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance in a Musical for her portrayal of Patsy Cline and then just recently in November of 2018 she took home another TBA award for her outstanding performance as a principle actor in 'Honky Tonk Angels'.  In the spring of 2020 she will be celebrating her 6th annual 'Today, Tomorrow & Forever' A tribute of honor, story and song for the legendary singer Patsy Cline. 


Margaret has appeared on many stages and screens overseas, nationally and throughout the Bay Area crooning, acting, emceeing, hosting, producing  and sometimes even rollerskating.  Margaret can also be seen and heard on indy films, local and national commercials, voice overs and radio shows.  You just never know where she'll show up next!  


Margaret is represented by Look Talent Agency and has trained with esteemed acting coaches throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles. She has also studied voice and performance under jazz legend Faith Winthrop and celebrated Brazilian singer Suely Mesquita.  Additionally, Margaret received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Indiana University.  


The authenticity and fearlessness with which Margaret approaches all of her endeavors make her a versatile and vivacious performer.  She looks forward to myriad new roles and experiences to throw herself into with boundless passion for performance.
